Key Programs
We work hard to make a difference in our local and surrounding community. We are comprised of a number of committees and subgroups that all come together to bring the goals of the National Dental Association into fruition. Every member of the UNC Chapter of SNDA has a vital role to play, and we value each member's talent and efforts.
Black History Month
Every year, UNC SNDA plans a month-long celebration of all things Black History. Join us as we celebrate culture, achievement, and the amazing Black pioneers in the field of dentistry!
Community Outreach & Engagement
All things community service, volunteering, and giving back. Be an active community leader with us!
C.R.O.W.N. Coalition
Centered on the advancement, success, and achievement of underrepresented minority men & women in dentistry and pre-dental students with hands-on mentorship!
Education
Centered on academic success, members help coordinate tutorial sessions for classes and Lunch & Learn seminars for current students!
Fundraising
Members assist the Treasurer with all fundraising activities and create a budget for SNDA events!
Impressions
Members will host the fall and spring Impressions program, where pre-dental students can get invaluable information on how they can prepare for dental school!
Oral Cancer 5K
A national SNDA initiative that will involve raising money for oral cancer biopsies and providing awareness about oral cancer!
Recruitment
Members of SNDA will host welcoming events for prospective minority dental students!
Social
Members help plan SNDA member social events such as Student/Faculty Mixers and SNDA Friendsgiving!
